Lawn care in north Clearwater

We work the northern end of Clearwater rather than the whole city, which means the 33759 / 33761 ZIP codes. This is a wide spread of established subdivisions that were built out over several decades, so an older street with a full canopy and a much newer one can sit inside the same square mile.

01 What we do here

What we do on north Clearwater properties

The maintenance schedule here is the same as it is anywhere else in our area: weekly through the growing season and every other week once the lawn slows down, with the four services on the left on every visit.

02 Local conditions

Conditions across the north end of Clearwater

This part of the city is inland, and the yards in it are not all of the same generation. Both of those things change what a property needs.

Subdivisions of several different ages

The north of Clearwater was built out over decades rather than all at once. An older section has mature shade trees, settled bed lines and planting that has been in the ground a long time. A newer section has open lawn, irrigation and far less shade. The visit is not the same.

Deed restricted streets with standards

Some of these subdivisions are deed restricted, and the association sets standards for how a yard is kept. On those streets the height of the cut, the edge along the sidewalk and the state of the beds are all part of what gets looked at, so consistency matters.

Much less salt than the coastal streets

Being inland and away from the Gulf shore, these lawns take far less salt air than the ones in Crystal Beach and Ozona do. That is a real difference: plants that struggle on a waterfront lot are fine here, and what limits the lawn is shade and water instead.

What that means for the visit

On a deed restricted street we hold the cut and the edges to the same standard from one visit to the next, because that consistency is what those standards are asking for. Driveway, sidewalk and bed edges get a clean vertical cut on every visit, not every third one.

On an older street with heavy shade the lawn wants a higher cut, less traffic across the thin patches, and the low limbs lifted off the roof and the walkway so light gets back to the grass. All of that can happen on the same visit rather than as three separate jobs.

03 Coverage

We cover the north of Clearwater, not the whole city

Clearwater runs a long way south along the coast. Our area is the northern end of it, in the 33759 / 33761 ZIP codes, and it is better to say that here than to let a page imply the whole city.

If your address is in the south of the city, or out on Clearwater Beach, we are probably not the company to call. It takes a minute to check on the phone, and we would rather tell you on the call than send someone on a long drive.

The Countryside area sits inside this same part of the city and shares the 33761 ZIP code with it, so a Countryside address is a Clearwater address as well. It has its own page here, and that page goes into those streets in more detail than this one does. Between the two, this is the whole of what we cover at the north end of the city.

Call us with the address and we will come out, walk the property and put a plan together for it. If the address turns out to be south of where we work, we will say so on the call.
